Power Avocado Toast


Plain avocado toast is a little imbalanced in macronutrients (carbs, fats, proteins).


That's why I add hemp hearts to my toast. Never heard of hemp hearts? They are a MUST HAVE for plant based power.


Hemp hearts or hemp seeds are rich in protein - 3 Tbsp has more protein than an egg! They're full of beautifying fats and GLA, a building block for anti-inflammatory compounds.


Getting enough protein and lowering inflammation are so important for everyone, but especially anyone working out or trying to lose weight.


Ingredients:

  • 2 slices Dave's Killer Bread (whole wheat)

  • 1/2 avocado, mashed

  • 2 Tbsp hemp hearts

  • Salt and pepper

  • Red pepper flakes
